Benefit for SEK Man's Recovery

Paul Pease's injuries are keeping him home from work so his family is trying to raise funds for every day needs and medical expenses.

COLUMBUS, KS-- Family of an injured Southeast Kansas man hold a benefit to help him make a full and fast recovery.

KSN's Kelly's Kountry Junction held a free concert at the Columbus Hospitality Center Saturday to help raise funds for Paul Pease.

On October 12th, Paul broke his neck, broke a bone in his back, and suffered spinal cord damage after falling from the bed of his truck while picking walnuts.

His injuries are keeping him home from work so his family is trying to raise funds for every day needs and medical expenses.

"My brother has worked all his life but he's basically lived from check to check and he has no insurance and wasn't able to save anything so right now he's living on a hope and a prayer," says Peace's sister Paula Barton.

Barton is working on a second fundraiser in Pittsburg which will feature local bands and a local dance team.
