5 Regional Championship appearances in 6 year, but only two titles...needless to say, the Roughriders are due. Down by 2 heading into the 5th, the bats began to ring after redshirt Junior Tyler McKinzie knocked a double to rightfield. McKinzie would later score to make it a one-run game and in the 6th the Riders would tie things up. In the 7th, Crowder went off, scoring 3 more runs, then knocked in 4 more in the 8th to seal the deal. Roughriders ace Mark Reyes had 11 strikeouts on the day, pitching a full 9 innings and 119 pitches total.
Crowder College will host the District Tournament May 16-18 and will face the winners of region 2 and 23.
