JOPLIN, MO. --

The Outlaws sit just a half game back in the South Division standings, with Sedalia holding the one spot heading into the final month of play.
Tonight, the boys in black and red hosted the Branson Nationals, a last place holder in the South. With two outs and a man on third, John Boidanis knocked a zinger past the shortstop to bring home Colton Krokroskia. The Nat's would get out of the inning and keep the Outlaws at bay into the third.
Bottom of the fourth, the bats began to heat up again for Joplin, as Matt Turner sent a liner down third, bringing in two runs and giving him a triple.
Joplin would get another win on the season, improving to 20-11. However, the win didn't move them anywhere in the standings.
The Outlaws are back in action tomorrow night at Nevada.
