MSSU and top seed Mankato State went scoreless for 27 half innings before the host Mavericks pushed across a run on a safety squeeze in the bottom of the 14th to win. Lions starting pitcher Brett Abell pitched 11 shutout innings, but the offense could never get on the board.

MoSo will now play the two seed, MIAA foe Central Missouri, Friday at noon in an elimination game.
