McAuley senior Mitch Wear is set to try something new in college. Kind of. McAuley will be a quarterback for the United States Military Academy at West Point's sprint football team.

Sprint football is the same as regular football except every player on the field must weigh less than 172 pounds. There are seven teams from the Northeast in the Collegiate Sprint Football League, and Army is coming off an unbeaten year in which they average 500 yards per game running an offense similar to the one Wear ran as a Warrior in high school.
