WEBB CITY, MO.--- This weekend you can lace up your walking shoes and help raise money for a good cause. Jesse Degonia works for Bright Futures in Webb City. He is gearing up for a fun walk that will be held this Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon. People can register for $15 and walk around the track at the Webb City High School stadium. The money will go to Bright Futures to help children in need. Last year, the organization was able to raise $10,000, and the goal this year is $15,000.

"We're able to supply a lot of glasses and shoes and coats and things throughout the school year with that. Also, helps our backpack program, where kids get snack packs on the weekend. We can use that money for anything we're doing," said Jesse Degonia, Webb City Bright Futures.

You can register the day of the event at the high school starting at 9 a.m. There will also be prizes and events for the kids.
