GALENA, KS.--- A suspected drunk driver is arrested after crashing into a power pole, causing the City of Galena to temporarily lose electricity. Around 7:10 Wednesday evening, a car driven by Andrew Stuart, 29, struck a power pole across the street from the Assembly of God Church. Stewart had two passengers with him, including two children, ages two and five years old. The pole snapped in half, knocking out power to nearly 2,000 customers. Electricity has since been restored. Stewart was taken into custody under suspicion of drunk driving.
