Two Injured in Jasper County Shooting

Jasper County--An argument at a home at 20th and Central City leads to a shooting.

Police say the homeowner pulled out a shot gun and fired a shot at the driver's side door of the pickup truck.

The window was busted out and the driver and passenger were peppered by bullet fragments.

The driver was injured to his face and shoulder and rushed to St. John's Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries; the passenger was treated on the scene.

Police say the victim's drove from the scene honking their horn trying to get help, they pulled over at the Quick-Stop at 20th and Shifferdecker for help.

Our reporters on the scene described the victims as both "young men" appearing to be late teens, early 20's. Deputies say the names of the victims will not be released tonight.

A person of interest is in custody and being questioned at this time by deputies; no arrests have been made.
