MISSOURI - State Representative Mike Moon introduced the resolution Monday night. If passed, the bill would ban all cases of abortion in Missouri, including cases involving rape or incest. The bill would recognize an embryo as a person from the moment of conception.
Opposing representatives say this could have other consequences, potentially banning IUD's and common birth control pills. A similar resolution was discussed last year. It passed through the House, but didn't make it through the Senate. The current bill would have to be approved by the House panel before being put up for a vote.
