TEDx coming to Pitt State

A version of the popular "TED Talks" is coming to a local university campus.

Pittsburg State University has gotten a license to host a TEDx Talk in 2018. The original series of TED Talks focuses on technology, education and design with the slogan "ideas worth spreading."

The TEDx series is similar, but on a smaller scale. University leaders are excited to bring it on campus and hope to make it a recurring event.

"With the opening of Block 22 in August of next year, it's going to provide a great additional venue to do that. We have some great spots on campus where I think you could see us having and hosting TEDx," says Shawn Naccarato, PSU Chief Strategy Ofc.

The Student Government Association Played a key role in gaining the TEDx license. They hope to hold the first talk on March 27th at the Bicknell Family Center for the Arts.
