Students Across the Nation Learn A Play In One Week

JOPLIN, Mo. - High school students are about to learn an entire play in just a week and professionals from across the nation are going to help them do it.

Students from hundreds of miles away are checking in at MSSU for a week long theater camp.

Starting today, they get aquatinted with one another and learn where things are.

Tomorrow, they'll get right to it- learning all of the music for the play, dance moves, and memorize lines.

It's an opportunity for students to get to learn this craft before actually getting to college.

"It's going to be an exciting week on the strings side of things, we've got all state kids from five different states and we have faculty, a viola teacher from LA and our violinist is from Boston. We've also got people from where I live, in North Carolina," says Teacher Jim Wadlow.

These professionals will coach the students through the week in areas of music, theater and even dance.

There's a special guest arriving later this week and we'll be sure to bring you that as soon as we know who it is.
