Joplin (MO)- Some local kids spent part of their day spreading some holiday cheer.
Students from St. Mary's Elementary School in Joplin traveled to the communities of Wildwood Ranch Nursing Home to sing Christmas carols for the residents. The kids sang at least five songs including "Frosty The Snowman" and "Little Drummer Boy." Even though it was a small gesture, students say they're happy to spread a little joy around the holidays.
"When you're doing things for other people it also makes you feel good and after you do something for people, it always comes back to you,” says Cooper Williams, a student from St. Mary’s.
Holiday events have become a tradition for the school and nursing home with the two facilities being located near each other.
