JOPLIN, MO --- A local animal shelter provides a discounted service for low income pet owners. This Wednesday only, the Joplin Humane Society will offer a $10.00 spay and neuter clinic called "Don't Share the Love." It's specifically meant for low-income pet owners and is provided by a grant from the ASPCA. Workers say getting your pets fixed helps keep the number of neglected animals down at the shelter. Eligibility determination is based on household size and income. To see if you qualify or to schedule an appointment, you can call the adoption center at 417-623-5343.
