MONETT, Mo. - Construction delays push back the start date for a Southwest Missouri bridge replacement project.

The replacement of the Business 60 Railroad Bridge has been pushed back to the week of July tenth.

Once demolition begins, Business 60 will remain closed until the project is completed.

The 3.7 million dollar project is expected to be finished in late December of this year.

Detours around the construction will be marked on U.S. Route 60.

The original bridge was built in 1935, and engineers with the Missouri Department of Transportation say it has been in need of frequent repairs in recent years.
