Slick Roads Lead to Fatal Car Accident in Neosho

NEOSHO, MO --- Slick roads are to blame for a crash that killed a teenage girl and injured three others. The wreck happened at 11:00 last night on Highway 49 less than a mile north of Neosho. Daniel Craig, 32, of Goodman was traveling northbound in a 2003 Ford Explorer when he lost control of the vehicle on the slick roadway. The car then started sliding, ran off the road, and overturned. There were three passengers in the vehicle when the incident occurred. They were all taken to Freeman Health System in Joplin. Cerea Reed, 13, passed away just after midnight at the hospital. Abigail Lester, 14; Jennifer Lester, 36; and Daniel Craig sustained serious injuries. None of the vehicle occupants were wearing a seat belt.
