MIAMI, OK---Miami City Council hired a search firm called, Strategic Government Resources or SGR, to find a replacement. Just last week the firm sent out advertisements for the position. During the first week, the firm has received more than a dozen applications.
Miami's Deputy City Manager Jill Fitzgibbon says the city also has a search committee that the council and utility board has appointed to help with the search. She says, "They will review all the applicants and give the council and the utility board their top few, I'm not sure what number they will reduce it to but they will give them all the applicants but then they'll say here's our top, ya know, 3 to 5."

Fitzgibbon says it will take about 4 months until they hire a new city manager.
