PITTSBURG, KS--- Pitt State University undergoes a little spring cleaning. The entire university has spent the last several days getting rid of things they no longer need. But instead of throwing the valuble items away, the university recycles some of it and the rest is sold at a garage sale. This year there were lots of wooden cabinets, office furniture and numerous other miscellaneous items.
"The ultimate goal of today is to find a new home for all of these products that we've been collecting and salvaging throughout the year. So, somebody else will have the chance to use them and they'll be put to good use again," says Physical Plant Supervisor Tonya Pentola.
Pentola says this year's sale went well. Many of the items have been sold and the money earned will benefit the university.
