PITTSBURG, KS.--- The pastor and director of the Wesley House in Pittsburg is retiring. Reverend Ellie Foster will retire in June after nine years of service in Southeast Kansas. In honor of Foster, musicians and church choirs from Pittsburg and Crawford County will perform at the Arma United Methodist Church and First United Methodist Church in Pittsburg. Foster says although she'll miss the Wesley House, she is moving into another phase of her life and wants to spend more time with her family.
"I've told everybody for six months at least I don't want to be in charge of anything except me. So I'm just going to figure out where life leads me and there will be lots of volunteer opportunities and I'll be involved with doing things, but at a slower pace," said Reverend Ellie Foster, Wesley House Director, Retiring.

The events will be held on April 27th and May 4th at 3 p.m. Those attending the concert are asked to bring nonperishable items to be donated to the Wesley House pantry.
