Parsons Woman Pleads Guilty to $5 Mill Embezzlement

PARSONS, Ks. -
A parsons women pleads guilty to embezzling more than 5 million dollars from her work place.

66-year-old Nita Rae Nirschl is guilty on one county of embezzlement, one county of money laundering and one count of attempted tax evasion. 

According to U.S. Attorney Tom Beall, Nirschl plead to withdrawing money from from the Parsons Pittsburg Credit Union where she was employed.

She then used the money to purchase a home, a car and other items. 

Nirschl's sentencing is set for March 5th of next year, with a recommended sentence of five years in federal prison.
