Oklahoma Man Wanted For Murder Arrested in Benton County

BENTON COUNTY, ARK. --- Benton County Sheriff's Office has arrested a man wanted in Oklahoma for murder.

James Douglas Manken, 40, was booked into Benton County Jail around 11:30pm Wednesday night. He is being held on a A first degree murder warrant from Oklahoma. Manken is the suspect in the July 13 homicide of Wayne Lee Wennerholm in Adair County.

On Wednesday, The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigators offered a $5,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of James Douglas Manken.

According to the Benton County Sheriff's Office, Manken was taken into custody by deputies while at a home in Gentry. He will have an extradition hearing. Manken has a criminal history in Northwest Arkansas dating back to 1999, including arson and fleeing arrests.
