OKLAHOMA--- In 2004, state voters approved a ban on same sex marriage. Today, the 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Denver found gay marriage is protected by the U.S. Constitution. The two to one ruling is pending an appeal. So for now, same sex couples aren't allowed to marry in Oklahoma.

Governor Mary Fallin released the following statement in response to the decison. "Today's ruling is another instance of federal courts ignoring the will of the people and trampling on the right of the states to govern themselves."
