KANSAS---The Kansas House of Representatives approves a bill to protect cell phones users in Kansas from getting calls from telemarketers.

Senate Bill 308 extends the Kansas No-Call Act to protect cell phone users from getting unwanted telemarketing calls.

According to the Consumer Protection Division, complaints about telemarketers violating the Kansas No-Call Act are the largest group of complaints they receive.

The legislation was proposed in January and will now go to Governor Sam Brownback for his consideration.
