NEOSHO, MO.--- "It's different. I've never actually done anything like this. And it's a lot of responsibility for the first time doing it.  I was just happily surprised whenever I won," said Felicity Bruegal, Newton County Fair Princess.

Felicity Bruegal was named the Newton County Fair Princess and is happily adjusting to her new title.

"I try to help people throughout the fair. If they need help with their animals. I'll clean up the alley ways sometimes and I'll just talk to people, keep them upbeat about the fair. Be a good role model for them," said Bruegal.

The 14-year-old was nominated through her sponsor, F.F.A. while raising money for the fair. It wasn't easy to earn her crown, she went through an interview and had to beat out a number of other girls.

"Basically, prepare myself for all the questions they are going to ask. Figure out what I was going to do at the fair," she said.

Along with her royal duties, Felicity is also showing her nine pigs at this year's fair.

"I love pigs now. And I love showing them. And it's just, basically, been bred into me because I was raised with them," said Bruegal.

Balancing her title as princess and showing pigs, she says it's all worth it.

"It's really fun whenever you work really hard throughout the year. And then your pigs win, and you win showmanship because you worked so hard on those pigs," she said.

The princess will be showing her pigs starting tomorrow and hopes to run for fair queen next year when she turns 15.
