A high speed chase ends in one arrest on New Year's Day. William G. Hall of Pierce City has been charged with drug trafficking while driving a stolen vehicle.
Shortly after midnight yesterday, a Lawrence County deputy saw a car blow through a four-way intersection while speeding which nearly hit the deputy's vehicle. A chase soon began just outside of monett after the driver refused to stop for the deputy.
During the pursuit it was found that the license plate on the vehicle had been reported missing. The chase ended in Aurora when a man and a woman jumped out of the moving car. Authorities apprehended William G. Hall and found a small bag of what appeared to be smaller baggies of methamphetamine.
The female suspect has not been located.
