Nevada Man Arrested After Authorities Serve Search Warrant

NEVADA, MO --- A search warrant leads to the arrest of a Nevada man. Matthew Sandoval, 24, was taken into custoday late last night. The arrest happened after the Missouri State Highway Patrol along with the Vernon County Sheriff's Office, C-net Drug Task Force, and the Nevada Police Department served a search warrant at 1202 East Nickelson in Nevada. Authorities seized one pound brick of marijuana, one ounce of high grade marijuana, more than $6,000 in cash, and a semi-automatic handgun. Sandoval was arrested at the scene for possession with intent to distribute. He is being held at the Vernon County Jail on a $25,000 cash only bond.
