FORT SCOTT, KS.--- Doctor Clayton Tatro has been president at the school since 2007, he had two years remaining on his contract. As part of this agreement, Dr. Tatro will receive a severance package, but the details of that will remain private. This decision comes after the Board of Trustees received a letter with a vote of no confidence from the Fort Scott College Association of Professional Employees. Dick Hedges will take over as interim president. He had served as the school's president from 1983 to 1989 and from 2001 to 2004. Hedges is also a current member of the Board of Trustees.
