More than 12 million people should except to see a boost in their FICO scores soon.

- According The Consumer Data Industry Association, It will give a majority of people a 20 point boost while another 70,000 will see a 40-point boost or higher. The change will apply to all new and existing tax lien and civil judgment information on credit reports. Credit experts say its because many tax liens and most civil judgments have incomplete consumer information. The decision made by the three major credit-reporting firms-Equifax, Experian, and Transunion- is a good thing for millions of U.S. consumers, but could pose risks for lenders. The change is expected to happen sometime this summer.
