JOPLIN, MO.--- Spring planting is underway on Missouri farms, which can be dangerous for drivers. The Missouri Department of Transportation wants to remind motorists to pay extra attention for farm equipment when crossing state roadways. There are more than 100,000 farms throughout the state and 33,000 miles of state roadway that are along side them. It's advised to slow down when approaching farm vehicles and be patient. In passing zones, wait until it's safe to pass at a safe distance and safe speed.
