PINEVILLE, MO. --- The chief deputy in McDonald County is fired due to preliminary findings in an investigation of the sheriff's office.

Sheriff Michael Hall says, Chief Deputy David Roark, was terminated from his position earlier this month. Roark began working for the McDonald County Sheriff's Office in January of 2013. Hall says the Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating Roark and another deputy. However, he declined to release details about the investigation.
