JOPLIN, Mo. - LovinGrace Ministry is an outreach of Royal Heights United Methodist Church in Joplin. The facility was started more than three years ago and has a capacity to host eight young ladies from ages 18 to 24. Director Stephanie Meek says it's not just a place to live, clients learn life skills that will help them eventually move out and live on their own.
"We have several young girls with us now or young women with us now that have aged out of the foster care system, who are in the process of moving toward their independence. And with the help of their case managers, looking at independent living through apartments," said Stephanie Meeks, LovinGrace Director.
Meeks says other churches now help support the LovinGrace Ministry, but business and personal donations would be greatly appreciated. For more information on the services they provide, as well as ways for you to help, click here.
