PARSONS, KS.--- Labette Community College celebrates the opening of its new health science building today. Public officials dedicated the Sonny and Sophia Zetmeir Health Sciences Building. This is the college's first new building in more than 30 years. The building project took approximately three years to complete. This new building will allow for the training of nurses, radiographers, physical therapist assistants, and dental assistants. School officials say this building will provide an extensive amount of job training to the community.

"It's really created a revived spirit among our students, faculty, and the whole community. People are so excited about this building," said Lindi Forbes, Executive Director of Alumni Association.

There were more than 375 donors who contributed to the success of this building project.
