Joplin Restaurant Fire

JOPLIN, MO --- The Joplin Fire Department responds to an evening fire at a local restaurant. It happened at 3129 East Hammonds Blvd. better known as Jim Bob's Steak House. Crews responded around 9:40 last night. When they arrived, smoke was showing from the attic area and north side of the building. The fire was declared out at 10:04 PM. The blaze resulted in moderate fire, smoke, and water damage to the kitchen and north storage area of the restaurant. There were about 10 customers and 15 employees inside at the time. Everyone was immediately evacuated, and no injuries were reported. The cause is under investigation.
