JOPLIN, MO.--- Monthly statistics show 151 crashes were logged last month. That's four higher than in May of 2013,  but still well below the monthly average. Officers are keeping an eye on top accident sites including Range Line and 32nd as well as the interstate overpass on Range Line. The number of wrecks isn't the only factor.

"Where our injury crashes are happening, and we know in the 34th and Hearnes area, that's a concern for us that we watch," said Lt. Darren Gallup, Joplin Police.

The City of Joplin has seen a total of 632 accidents since January 1st.
