Joplin man behind bars after impersonating federal agent

A Joplin man is behind bars after stealing a vehicle and impersonating a federal agent.

On Sunday, a Joplin police officer responded the 300 Block of North Gray for reports of a stolen vehicle. While responding, the officer saw the stolen truck was speeding and swerving down C Street. After failing to pull over for the officer, the truck hit a parked car.

39 year old Robert Haddenham got out of the truck and ran on foot. Officers chased Haddenham through several yards to Glover Street, where there was a physical altercation.

According to authorities, Haddenham began identifying himself as a federal law enforcement agent and yelling for onlookers to "kill the officers." The suspect was taken into custody where his is being held with a $7,500 dollar surety bond plus $1,000 dollars cash. He's been charged with numerous felonies.
