JOPLIN, MO.--- The Boys and Girls Club of Southwest Missouri is providing 50 free pairs of shoes to children in need. The donation is made possible through the "Payless Gives Shoes 4 Kids Holiday Giving Program." This is the second year the local Boys and Girls Club has been chosen for this grant. Coordinator Mackenzie Garst says this will help a lot of the children in the program who may not receive new shoes this year.

"What I think it means for the children, for the first time a lot of times in their lives they get something new and shiny. And they get something that's important to them and it's just for them. So this is a big deal for them and they're super excited for some new shoes," said Mackenzie Garst, Boys and Girls Club.

By partnering with Payless Gives, Boys and Girls Club of Southwest Missouri are hoping to make this an annual charity
