JOPLIN, MO.--- The finishing touches are now complete and the Joplin Area Habitat for Humanity has officially moved into is new location. Of course, there are still some boxes that need to be unloaded, but they are thankful for their new home.

"The building is sufficient in size. We are a 55,000 square foot building, so that allowed us the opportunity to have a running Restore. Our offices are going to be here, and also the back warehouse. So we will have all our construction materials," said Scott Clayton, Habitat for Humanity Director.

The new offices consist of a community room and a conference room for the Habitat for Humanity staff. On the other side of the building, shoppers are already taking advantage of the Restore.

"The Restore takes donations of new and used building materials. We sell them to the community at a reduced price," said Cassie Wilkins, Restor Manager.

The proceeds from the Restore help Habitat build houses for the community, who is enjoying the new location.

"A lot of them appreciate the bigger size and more space so they can find what they are looking for," said Wilkins.

Restore volunteer and shopper, Sandra Robertson, spends most of her time at the store.

"It works great for me. I am a landlord and i redo rental homes, so it works really great for me. It doesn't work so great for my husband, he thinks I shop too much," said Sandra Robertson, Restore Shopper and Volunteer.

A grand opening ceremony is set to take place in April. The public is also welcome to visit the new offices and shop in the Restore.
