I-44 Road Construction Starts Tomorrow

JOPLIN, MO --- An 8.5 mile construction project on I-44 from Range Line Road to the Oklahoma state line begins tomorrow night.

According to the Missouri Department of Transportation, crew will begin replacing guardrails in the westbound lane.  Work times will be between 7pm and 7am Monday through Thursday of this week.

Work crews will also be resurfacing driving lanes and shoulders.  The entire project is expected to be done by November 1st.  Drivers should expect delays and possible lane closures throughout the duration of the project.
