Freeze Warning for Entire Viewing Area

Joplin, MO-- A Freeze WARNING is issued for Friday morning for the entire viewing area.

The first hard freeze of the year is expected tonight as temps drop into the middle to upper 20's over the eastern Ozarks and around 30 degrees across SE KS and western MO.

Missouri

Freeze WARNING Midnight till 9 a.m. Friday for the following counties, Vernon, Barton, Jasper, Newton, McDonald, Cedar, Dade, Lawrence and Barry Counties.

Kansas

Freeze WARNING Midnight till 9 a.m. Friday for the following counties, Bourbon, Crawford, Cherokee, Allen, Neosho, Labette, Woodson, Wilson, Montgomery, Elk, & Chautauqua.

Oklahoma

Freeze WARNING Midnight till 9 a.m. Friday for the following counties, Ottawa, Delaware, Craig, Mayes, Nowata, Rogers & Washinton.

Arkansas

Freeze WARNING Midnight till? 9 a.m. Friday for the following county, Benton.

The hard freeze will impact plants that are sensitive to freezing temperatures. This will be a killing freeze and plants should be brought inside.
