JOPLIN, MO.--- Patients had a chance to get early detection on strokes, abdominal aortic aneurysms, peripheral arterial disease, and osteoporosis. Stroke and abdominal aortic aneurysms are silent killers with little warning. All screenings helped patients assess their risk of any conditions.

"It's recommended for people over the age of 50, however we have a a lot of people starting in their 40's that come in to do the screenings," said Shelby Allen, Freeman R.N.

These events help patients get several screenings at a lower cost. They're held every fourth Thursday of each month.
