NEOSHO, MO.--- Faithful Friends Animal Advocates in Neosho has received a generous donation to help complete their animal shelter. Steve and Tammy Roark have donated $15,000 towards the shelter's surgical center. The center will mostly be used to spay and neuter animals, and the funds will help pay for equipment and furniture.

"In the past, we had to round them up from the foster homes and take them to our veterinarians for their surgeries, and then take care of them and give them back to their foster homes. So it's been a logistical challenge to get all that done," said Leanne Williams, Faithful Friends President.

"We know the importance of spaying and neutering animals and that's one thing that will be done in that suite. But, we also know from having lived in the country, that there are a lot of injured animals that need to be cared for. So the surgical suite will take care of several very importance issues," said Steve Roark, donor.

The organization broke ground last summer to build the facility on West Highway 86 in Neosho. It's expected to be complete within the upcoming months.
