Crowder holds annual Festival of Wreaths

Crowder college got into the Christmas spirit this evening during its annual Festival of Wreaths.

It's a set of two auctions and acts as an annual fundraiser for the school. There were dozens of items to bid on from Christmas trees and wreaths, to chiefs memorabilia.

One of the more interesting pieces up for bid was a signed Tom Petty guitar. All of the money received from the event is going to school programs and even a few grants for instructors.

Haley Reardon, Assistant Director Of Resource Development & Alumni Relations: "We start really digging in working on this about June of each year. And so to see it all decorated and groomed and everything looking pristine and guests moving about the venue and bidding and enjoying fellowship with one another. It's my favorite day of the year."

About 450 people attended tonight's fundraiser.
