JOPLIN, Mo. - The interchange at Prigmor now includes ramps connecting to the interstate. Representatives say there was a high demand for trucks to have direct access to the industrial park. Now with the new route, they say trucks will be off main streets, making it safer and faster for drivers.
"The fact of getting access, additional access to our industrial park makes it good for everybody," said Sen. Ron Richard, Missouri Senate President Pro Tem.
The project took three years to complete and cost more than $8 million. Joplin city representatives say they were happy construction was on time and under budget.
