WEBB CITY -- City officials in Webb City say the construction along Madison avenue is on track to be finished by the August 14 target date. Crews are widening the street from two lanes to three, adding in a center turn lane. They are also working on installing a five foot wide sidewalk on the east side of the road. The goal of the $125,000 project is to ease traffic backups around the high school. Crews should have the work done before school starts, weather permitting.
