The next step is to add in concrete for a carport and picnic tables as well as a water line. A local Eagle Scout and the hospital helped contribute to fundraising efforts for the park.
"I've gotten a lot of positive responses from people. They're real excited about being able to have a place to go let their dogs run when they don't have fenced yards and such," said Sandy Alexander, Animal Control Officer.
There isn't an expected completion date yet, but the animal control officer is hopeful it could be finished by summer.
