JOPLIN, MO.--- Area musicians are coming together to support a local organization. They're calling the event "Harborfest." 9 bands and solo artists will put on a show in an effort to raise money for Soul's Harbor.

The organization needs to raise $42,000 to meet their needs. They've been trying to raise money to build a new kitchen. The current one doesn't have a pantry, dishwasher, or refrigerator.

"We are really hoping we can get as close to that mark as we can possibly get. Now, if we get to the entire 42,000, praise God we got there, but that's what we're looking to do is get as close as we can to the $42,000 they need to finish their project," said Dianna Gurley, Soul's Harbor.

The event will be held at Landreth Park this Saturday from noon to 10 p.m. There will also be hot dogs and a bake sale. Admission is by donation only, and all proceeds will go directly to Soul's Harbor.
