JOPLIN, MO -- Workers with the group have assisted more than 4,000 people impacted by the tornado with financial assistance, and help finding permanent housing. Volunteers have helped repair hundreds of homes, and plan to build 20 brand new houses this year. Catholic Charities Case Manager Kathy Welch says the group is facing some challenges finding housing. "People don't have affordable housing to move into at this point." She says. Many residents are worried about what will happen when F.E.M.A. closes the temporary Facilities. "People are frustrated, and it kind of frustrates us, because we can't help them find anything."
If you were impacted by the storm and need help, you can call Catholic Charities at (417) 624-3790.
