CARTHAGE, MO.--- The Carthage Humane Society has teamed up with the Rescue Waggin Program. Once a month the group comes to Carthage and takes several dozen dogs and finds them new homes. Recently dogs have been placed in Wisconsin, New Jersey, and Canada. The shelter is at full capacity and this helps open up some extra cages.

"It helps us because it gets the dogs new homes and get them new homes quickly. Then they're not sitting here and waiting for a home. They're able to be here another month or less," states Amber Kenagy, Carthage Humane Society.

The Humane Society is always needing donations and volunteers you can drop those off during regular business hours.
