Car Crash North of Crestline Leaves Two People Dead

CRESTLINE, KS --- A car crash 4 miles north of the Crestline Junction last night leaves two people dead.

According to the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office, a 2002 Honda Accord driven by 21 year old Justin Ramirez, of Parsons, was traveling northbound on Highway 69 around 9:30 last night.

His vehicle crossed the center line and struck a 2008 Chevy Impala driven by 59 year old Kenneth Orender, of Pittsburg.  Ramirez was pronounced dead at the scene.

Orender was transported to Freeman Health System by medical helicopter.  Orender was later pronounced dead at 1:25 this morning.

An investigation of the car crash is still ongoing.
