WEBB CITY, MO---The Webb City Fire Department received a call between 9:02 and 9:05 PM Monday about a blaze at Madison Square strip mall. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. Officials say they're not sure where the flames started, but do know no one was inside at the time and no one was hurt. Crews have already checked five stores: Thelma's Tux, Smoke and Vape, World Finance, Papa Murphy's and State Farm Insurance. Fire fighters plan to go through the rest of the strip mall tonight, looking for damage. Crews from Webb City, Joplin and Carterville all responded to the call.
