WEBB CITY, MO.--- Students at Truman Elementary School who had a 95% attendance rate were given ice cream from the Culver's Restaurant. More than 280 students hit that percentage. Many of the students say they fought through headaches and sore stomachs to reach the milestone.

"There were a lot of days where I thought it was kind of tough, but I still went," said Josie Spikereit, fourth grader.

"It feels very good to know you've done something very well," said Gavin Stowell, 10-years-old.

Teachers say that 90% of the school earned that high attendance record.
